het para-instituut voor KUNST en precariteit (pKp) vormt een gezamenlijke kunstpraktijk met wisselende bezetting. het pKp creëert ruimte van waaruit het zich telkens opnieuw verhoudt tot bestaande culturele plaatsen. het doet dit door het innemen van para posities: posities naast, binnen, tijdens of in tegenstelling tot bestaande praktijken en instanties. circulerende dynamieken worden daarbij zowel onderzocht, versterkt of gecounterd. binnen deze wijze van interveniëren neemt het begrip kwetsbaarheid en onzekerheid een belangrijke plaats in. welke verhoudingen worden aangegaan met de eigen precariteit en die van anderen? kan het op andere wijze betekenis geven aan precariteit een verzet tegen de heersende orde inleiden? het zijn vragen die het pKp oproept waarbij de conditie van wederzijdse afhankelijkheid, als tegengesteld aan de ideologie van onze laat kapitalistische wereld, richtinggevend is.

the para-institute for ART and precarity (pKp) is a collective art practice with alternating people. the pKp creates space from which it repeatedly relates to existing cultural places. it does this by taking up para positions: positions next to, within, during or in opposition to existing practices and institutions. circulating dynamics are thereby both explored, reinforced or counteracted. Within this mode of intervention, the concept of vulnerability and insecurity occupies an important place. which relationships are entered into with one's own precarity and that of others? can giving meaning to precarity in a different way initiate a resistance to the prevailing order? these are questions that pKp raises in which the condition of mutual dependency, as opposed to the ideology of our late-capitalist world, is guiding.
